Can We Do Two Degrees At The Same Time In Pakistan?

Can We Do Two Degrees At The Same Time In Pakistan? Yes, but there are some conditions and limits on that. 

HEC has developed a policy that fully explains when you can do a double degree and when you cannot. 

A Double Degree is not allowed when:

The gist of the policy is that you can’t focus on either degree when you are a regular student in both degrees in the same time slot (morning or evening). 

1. A degree with a time clash is not allowed when you get two degrees from the same university in the same time slot (like both degrees are from the same university and both are in the morning or evening session). This applies when you are a regular student for both degrees.
2. A degree with a time clash is not allowed when you are getting two degrees from two different universities but in the same time slot (both degrees are in the morning session or both degrees are in the evening session). This applies when you are a regular student for both degrees.

A Double Degree is conditionally allowed when:

When you want to pursue both degrees as a regular student, you can do that by doing one degree in the morning and one in the evening. You are free to do a double degree from one university or two different universities. 

The other condition is that you meet admission criteria for both degrees and you have written permission from all concerned universities. 

1. A conditional combination of degrees is allowed when you are getting both degrees from the same university as a regular student. Still, the time slots are different (you are doing one degree in the morning and one in the evening). The conditions are; admission requirements are met and you have written permission from the university to join two programs).
2. A conditional combination of degrees is allowed when you are getting one degree in a university as a regular student in one-time slot and another degree in another university as a regular student in a different time slot, like one degree in the morning and one degree in the evening. The conditions are; admission requirements are met and you have written permission from the university to join two programs.

A Combination Of Degrees Is Allowed When;

1. Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the regular mode in one university and Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the private mode in the same university.
2. Bachelor/Master degree in the regular mode in one university and Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the private mode in different university.
3. Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the regular mode in the same session/year and Bachelor/Master degree obtained through Distance Learning mode in the same session/year.
4. Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the private mode in one university in the same session/year and Bachelor/Master in the private mode in the same university in other discipline in the same session/year.
5. Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the private mode in one university and Bachelor/Master degree obtained in the private mode in different.
6. 1-Year B.Ed degree obtained in the private mode from one university in one academic year/session and 2-Year M.A in any discipline obtained in the private mode from the same University in the same academic year/session.
7. 2-Year Degree (Science) obtained in the regular mode in one university in one academic session/year and 2-Year degree (Arts/ Social Science) in the private/Distance Learning mode in the same or different university in one academic session/year
