AIOU Degree Verification Options

AIOU offers 3 options to get your degree/ diploma verified. You can select the option that suits you. These options are listed below.

• By Hand Degree Verification
• By Post Degree Verification
• Online Degree verification

Now we will explain each option one by one. We will share easy to follow step by step guide. We will share the verification form, challan form, fee details, submitting the application, time required for each method and receiving your verified degree. So, no need to wonder the internet.

By Hand Degree Verification

The by hand degree verification process at AIOU is a traditional and urgent method which allows you to obtain the verified degree on the same day. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply for this urgent degree verification:

Preparing the Required Documents

Before visiting the AIOU degree verification department, you need to prepare the following documents:

Application Form: Visit the AIOU official website, find the degree verification form, download it, and print it out. Fill in the form with all the necessary details such as your name, roll number, course details, year of passing, etc. You can download the application form here. This same form is used for all degrees and all methods.

Original Paid Fee Challan: The verification fee needs to be paid through a challan form, which can also be downloaded from the AIOU website. As of 2023, the fee for this urgent verification process is PKR 1000 per copy for local students and $100 (25 $ Shipping charges included) per copy for overseas students.

How to Download the Verification Fee Challan form?

1. Click the following link. online.aiou.edu.pk/challan
2. On the next screen select the depositor type. There are 2 options. – Student – other than student. As shown in the picture.

1. On the next screen select fill out the simple form. Don’t forget to carefully select the degree verification option. As shown in the picture below. Click the download button and get it printed.

1. Pay the fee in the banks mentioned on the form. You can also pay the fee using Jazz cash or Easy Paisa Apps. Here is our guide about paying fee through Jazz Cash/ Easy Paisa. Please scroll down to the section.

Degree/Certificate and Transcript Copies: Prepare photocopies of your degree/certificate and transcript.

Visiting the AIOU Degree Verification Department

Once you have prepared all the required documents, visit the AIOU Degree Verification Department located at Block No. 3, Ground Floor, Examination Department, AIOU, H-8, Islamabad.

Submitting the Application and Documents

Submit the completed verification form, original paid fee challan, and copies of your degree/certificate and semester wise result cards (transcripts downloaded from the website are not accepted. It must be copy of physically received form with sign and stamp of the university.) before 11 AM for same-day processing.

Receiving the Verified Degree

After submission, wait for the verification process to complete. Since this is an urgent method, you will receive the verified degree on the same day before 5 PM. If you failed to receive the degree in the given time, it will be sent to your address by postal mail.

Note: University will not be responsible if it is lost or not delivered. So, you need to make sure to get the degree by hand. You can explore the campus or nearby areas to kill time.

Please note that while this method is faster than the online method, it requires physical presence at the AIOU campus in Islamabad. Therefore, it may not be suitable for everyone, especially for those who live far from Islamabad or overseas.

By Post Degree Verification

The by post degree verification process at AIOU is a traditional method which allows you to obtain the verified degree without visiting the university physically. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply for degree verification by post:

Step 1: Download and Fill the Verification Form

Visit the AIOU official website, find the degree verification form, download it, and print it out. Fill in the form with all the necessary details such as your name, roll number, course details, year of passing, etc.

Step 2: Pay the Verification Fee

The verification fee needs to be paid through a bank challan form, which can also be downloaded from the AIOU website. As of 2023, the fee for this process is PKR 600 per copy for local students and $100 per copy for overseas students. The process to download the challan form is the same. The only difference is select by post option in the second last field. As shown in the picture below.

Step 3: Prepare the Required Documents

Along with the completed verification form and original paid fee challan, prepare photocopies of your degree/certificate and transcript. Verification form is the same we have shared above.

Step 4: Send the Application and Documents

Once you have prepared all the required documents, send them via registered mail or courier to the following address:

Step 5: Wait for Verification

After submission, wait for AIOU to process your request. This process may take around 2-3 weeks. The verified degree will be sent to you by post.

Please note that while this method does not require physical presence at the AIOU campus, it takes longer than the urgent by hand method. Therefore, if you need the verified degree urgently, consider using the by hand method instead.

Online Degree Verification

The online degree verification process at AIOU is a convenient method that allows students to obtain a verified degree without physically visiting the university. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for degree verification online:

Login CMS

• Visit AIOU Degree tacking portal here.
• dts.aiou.edu.pk
• You have three options. Click the 3rd one, online application.
• On the next screen login to enrollment portal. It will land you in your CMS Dashboard.

Generating Challan Form/ Invoice

• Find and click on “Student Service Request” option in your CMS Dashboard.
• Click create new request.
• On the next screen select “other fee challan/invoice” option and click the next button.
• Select fee option that suits you. Urgent or Ordinary and click the next button.
• On the next screen, select your degree type and hit next.
• This will bring you to a new page, where you will write a message to examinations department for degree verification.
• Write the following text in the text field. “Dear sir, please issue my degree. I have paid the fee and I have attached all necessary documents” You can write your own message as well.
• Click the submit button before uploading the documents.

Final Step – Fee Payment and Upload Documents

You need to upload the following documents. Degree, application form, semester wise result cards, paid fee challan

• When you hit the submit button, you will see the “Print Invoice” Button and options to upload your document. Hit the “print invoice” button and download the invoice. Confirm your details on the challan / invoice are correct.
• Pay the challan in the banks mentioned on the challan. You can also pay using your Jazz cash or easy paisa account.
• Take a snapshot of the paid challan form. Combine/ merge all your documents in one file. You can use Ilovepdf.com and select merge files option.
• Select all your documents in PDF format and upload. It will combine all files and make one PDF file.
• Upload this file with all your documents (Degree, application form, semester wise result cards, paid fee challan) by clicking the “add attachment” option.
• Hit the save button. That is, it. You have submitted your degree verification application online.

Wait for AIOU to process your request. This process may take around 2-3 weeks. The verified degree will be sent to you by post.

AIOU Degree Verification Tracking by Roll Number

Visit the AIOU Degree Tracking System Portal. Then click on the “in process applications” option. Here is the direct link.

Enter your roll number and click the button. It will show you the status of your application.
