General pattern for the B.A. / Associate Degree in Arts (Pass Course) Examinations at Punjab University. Here’s a summary of the key points:
- The B.A. (Pass Course) Examination is a two-year program.
- The university conducts an examination at the end of the second year.
- Each written paper examination lasts for three hours.
- The B.A. (Pass Course) Examination consists of four main components:
- “English Language” (compulsory, 200 marks)
- “Islamiyat/Ethics (compulsory, 100 marks)
- Pakistan Studies” (compulsory, 100 marks)
- 2 elective subjects (each carrying 200 marks)
- 1 optional subject (carrying 100 marks).
- Total 700 marks and you require 33% to be declared as a successful candidate.
Candidates are not allowed to choose an optional subject that they have already selected as an elective.
