General pattern for the B.A. / Associate Degree in Arts (Pass Course) Examinations at Punjab University. Here’s a summary of the key points:

  • The B.A. (Pass Course) Examination is a two-year program.
  • The university conducts an examination at the end of the second year.
  • Each written paper examination lasts for three hours.
  • The B.A. (Pass Course) Examination consists of four main components:
    • “English Language” (compulsory, 200 marks)
    • “Islamiyat/Ethics (compulsory, 100 marks)
    • Pakistan Studies” (compulsory, 100 marks)
    • 2 elective subjects (each carrying 200 marks)
    • 1 optional subject (carrying 100 marks).
    • Total 700 marks and you require 33% to be declared as a successful candidate.

Candidates are not allowed to choose an optional subject that they have already selected as an elective.
